How to fix this on CQC-10?

Hi to all.

Well, I decided to make a gift for myself for my birthday, so now I'm a proud owner of a CQC-10.

I really like this knife, and it has the chance to become my EDC, removing the Horseman from my pocket...
...but.

But there are some questions I have, and the main is simple - how to fix this?

A DISCLAIMER:
I am not trying to offend anyone, especially Emerson Knives staff, I am not trying to accuse or anything like that. I'd like some simple advices how to fix my knife with my own hands, I can handle it :) So, let me begin.

The trouble I face now are the gaps between the liners and the washers. I tried to make photos, outlined them with red. My thought is that the liners aren't straight somehow, how do you think, can I align or bend them in the propper way? The front parts of liners don't touch the G-10, I think I'll try to get a straightedge to check.

And the blade seems to have a little wobble, despite the pivot screw tightened to the maximum. Still, I can open it with ease. My thought is that the notch on the G-10 handle is a little bigger, as the pivot goes in deeper. Here's a pic in comparison with my Horseman:

I'll try to add a washer between the notch and the pivot top to align it with the handle. I think it'll help me to tighten the pivot and to get rid of both the gaps and the wobble. It's almost unnoticeable, but I want to make my knife...perfect :)

So, how do you think, friends - am I right in my thoughts of fixing it? Or there are other ways or advices? I'd be gratefull.

Best wishes,
Arsen

UPDATE

Fixed :)

All I had to do was just adding a washer under the pivot.
Now it's aligned to the handle, the blade is rock solid, all fine. So the deal was in deeper notch in the G-10, case closed :)

Have to break in the blade for smooth opening - but it's no problem :)

Have never seen that problem before. But i guess if the recess cut into the scale was done too deep like it appears to be that would cause it. Good work on the fix!

Thanks! I faced this problem for the first time, my Mini CQC-8 was perfect just out of the box.
Yes, the deeper cut caused the pivot screw not to tighten properly, as the bolt and nut were tightened to the max, but couldn't press the scales enough to stop the blade play. After adding the washer there was enough space between them to work as intended.
Now everything is fine, when I'll be disassembling my knife I'll add some glue to keep the washer in the handle scale. And I hope my next Emerson won't have any problems like this :)

Good job at trouble-shooting and fixing the problem! Glad you did not have to send back to Emerson from Russia!

Thanks!
Yeah, the thought of sending my knife from Russia to EKI gave me the creeps, so I disassembled it and began to think :) Lucky for me, minor issue, which I could fix.

Wonderful fix and I'm happy u figured it out so fast.

I would think that whole batch of handles would be the same. Hopefully they see this as a heads up. I have only seen it once before. I ground the end of the screw down a hair.

Well, I dropped a quick note for them via the contact form on the website, no one answered. Still, I'm not waiting for any reply, so that was a quick word of better QC.
That was 2014 knife, so I don't think that they had no feedback if the wholu batch was problematic.

I just got mine back from customer service and I'm having the same "air gap" issue... Going to check the liners, I think they are bent or something. I can't tighten the pivot anymore or I couldn't open the knife lol

By the way, fixed the gaps by gently bending the liners.
Put them on a mirror, as it's the flattest piece of glass, looked for the gaps and bended the liners with my hand. Then I aligned them with the handles and bended again, just a little. Now everything is fine, but still forget to put some Loctite to stop the pivot bolt from loosing :)

I did this! It really seemed to help and also made it smoother... I was amazed how easily the show side liner bent, it feels like mild steel! Definitely not Ti like the other side...

I just glare menacingly at mine if they aren't straight, and they immediately conform to my wishes. :D
