How to get a blade on centre?

So I have a Bear Grylls Scout folding knife that, when closed, has an off-centered blade. Is there any way I can fix this? If I can't and have to send it to Gerber to get it realigned, is there a warranty? Any information would be great.

I doubt Gerber's warranty would cover an off-center blade, unless it prevents full closure of the blade (see bolded text in quote below). At the price point of this knife, I don't think there's an expectation that it'll be cosmetically perfect. Assuming it is just a cosmetic issue, I personally wouldn't worry about it anyway.

( quoted text below from Gerber's 'Warranty Info' site -->: http://www.gerbergear.com/Meet-Gerber/Support/Warranty-Info )
"Gerber warrants to the consumer that this product will be free of defects, in material and workmanship for as long as you own the product. This warranty does not cover damage due to rust, accident, loss, improper use, abuse, negligence, or modification of or to any part of the product. Normal wear and tear is not covered under the warranty. If the product failed while being used as it was intended to be used, we will service under the warranty. At Gerber's option, defective product will be repaired, replaced, or substituted with a product of equal value."

The previous two gentlemen said something i pretty much agree with, if it isnt rubbing the liners, then leave it. However, some people like me have to have a perfect grind on both sides, and the blade perfectly centered. My sodbuster came in almost rubbing on the left side. One solution is krinking the blade, if you are interested i can tell you how to do it.

The off center blade bugs me, so i can personally attest to this method working with no detrimental effect to the blade strength or sharpening issues (the blade will possess a "corrective bend".

I hope this helps: http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/s...g-on-new-Case-Sodbuster?p=9822596#post9822596
