how to get a HI khukri and a HI katana to europe?

Hello folks,


I am Bart Weijs, knifemaker in Belgium. I have had several requests for a live katana blade, and only ****ty 420 or 440 steel blanks are sold here which are not even hardened. For practicioners of iaitso (martial art concerning swordmen ship) this is a pain in the ass. I am not capable of making a katana, and certainly not at the
prices advertised. I am looking for a real handled katana with a strap to hang on a wall, and a katana blank. Or a Katana and a khukri.. the latter is for me, the katana is for a martial arts specialist.
The katana needs to be unsharpened or I'll get trouble with the customs - not made dull, just not sharpened -.

That leaves me with two problems. 1. how to pay someone in the US or somewhere else in the world? 2. how about shipping to europe ?

I am gonna try and get hooked up with paypal, that might be a solution since they went international last month.

Anyone some information? trades? suggestions?

Hallo Bart,
greetings from Germany. I ordered a khukri from HI and several knives from the states and never had problems. I payed with credit card, banktransfer, Western Union and all was okay. A sword might be a little more expensive. Maybe cheaper to buy it in Europe. But with knives no problem.
