Recommendation? How To Get a ZT0560 Clip For My ZT0450

Hey guys,

From in pocket pictures, I'm really not a fan of the 0450 pocket clip. I want something that puts the knife A LOT deeper into my pocket, like the 0560 clip. I have heard that you can just contact ZT, but how? Do I call, email, use their contact form? Also, should I be honest and state I want the clip for a 0450, or say I need a replacement for a 0560? (Not a fan of the lying part but hey, I will if I have to) I have heard they don't respond... Should I include my shipping info in my first email/contact? If ZT doesn't do this anymore, should I just spend the $25 on an Ebay clip? Let me know :)

Just contact them, using the phone might be a tad faster than email. Don't over think simple things.
 
Don't overthink this. Just call them.

You want a 0560 clip so that's what you order. They don't really need to know you will use it on a different model and they probably don't care. But, if they ask, be honest and up front. Make sure you offer to pay for it, too.

Keep it simple and be polite. Customer service reps have a thankless job dealing with knife owners problems all day. I'm sure they would enjoy a positive, easy call from time to time.
 
That's what i did called them up sent out a new clip for my mini grip . Great to deal with in my book.:thumbsup:
 
I originally called and 5-6 weeks later emailed. A week or so after emailing I had my clip in hand.
 
The contact form on the website always worked for me. Be sure to specify the knife you want a clip from, not for (they may ignore the comments). The only issue you may run into is that that the 0560 is discontinued and sometimes they reserve discontinued hardware for knives that are shipped in. 0560BW is on of my favorite clips!
 
I always use email or contact form and they get back to me within 1 business day. And to echo everything said here; I would be honest and polite, and they will do the same. They are a really great group over there! They have helped me with numerous questions and clips. And they are running out of 560 clips so you might just have to buy a custom one or offer to pay for one.
I know last time when getting a 560bw clip, they were down to just bead blasted clips(no black). And if you need anything from Kershaw you can mention that too(it goes to the same place).
 
ZT doesn't give out 0560 clips anymore. I have had multiple conversation with ZT about acquiring new clip for my ZT 0560BW and they always deny it because it is a discontinued model.
 
I have had the same issue getting a clip for my zt0560bw. They informed me they don't send out any parts for discontinued knives.

I filled out the online request for an 0560 clip last year and never got a reply, or a clip. I assumed this was why. I subsequently started liking the standard 0450 clip more, and didn't pursue it further.

I really like the clip as well. Looks great on the knife and works how it should. BUT I need something that keeps the knife deep in my pocket for a few reasons. One being that it is technically not legal to carry a blade of any size where I live so I cant have the knife protruding so far out of my pocket. I also just prefer to have it hidden so it doesn't spark the "OMG is that a knife?!" and "Why do you need that!!? Are you going to stab me!?" conversations.
