How to get CPF to let me login?

I've been pretty much not bothering with candlepowerforums because I can almost never get logged in for the past 3 years or so.

Today I requested a temporary password, got the password in email, logged in, then the next screen it immediately told me my password had changed and that I had to log out.

What is it about CPF (and mozzilla perhaps) that makes logging in so difficult?

That sounds like a cookie problem. Forums recognize who you are by a cookie, a file stored on your hard drive. If your cookie gets corrupted the forum doesn't recognize you and tells you to log in. Try deleting all cookies -- I can't tell you the sequence of mouse clicks for mozilla but it should be easy to find. The surest way is to do it when you're not at CPF and reboot after you delete all cookies. Then you'll have a clean slate and when you log in again it should stick.

Thanks for the help, I purged cookies and got in once, tried 4 more times and after logging in, the very next time I went to a page after that it said I'm not logged in. I think I'll just go back to not bothering.

Might be their system is not compatible with mozilla. I hesitate to even suggest it because people get so passionate about browsers, but ... you might want to try using a different browser -- only for CPF, and only until they can fix the problem ... I only said you might want to try it....

IDK, but the other computer I was on a the other day has Mozilla and I could log in no-problem to update on a deal going down.
