Good afternoon

After reading through the forum, regarding steels and their properties.
I feel that I need to keep a nice toothy edge on my enzo pk70 (s30v).
I'm not a wizard at sharpening, but I can get an edge on my knives. I own the spyderco sharpmaker with all the grits ( diamond, brown , fine and ultra fine ) , also a strop with paste and the fallkniven dc4 stone.

The knife is my edc at work. Where its main duties are to strip cable, open packaging, cut down cardboard boxes.
Cut pipe lagging, and tape as well as rubber hoses.

Ive been polishing my edge on a strop after sharpening (going through the brown and two white stones on the sharp maker at the 30 degree back bevel setting) .

Has anybody got any tips on how to get a good working edge on the knife that will get the best out of the s30v .

Many thanks UK_si

ask to move this to the maintenance forum
there is specifically about sharpening

your knife comes with a zero grind Scandi grind
this means the primary bevel does not have a secondary bevel
if you keep this single primary Scandi grind your knife will be sharp for a long time
you do this by sharpening on a flat stone then stropping
do not use the sharp maker as it puts a secondary bevel
also you have a superb steel that can be maintained by stropping
keep it sharp by stropping before you go anywhere near a stone

I have one and this is what I do

Sorry mods posted in wrong section could this be moved into the maintenance section please.

Thanks for the reply neeman , sorry I should of said my version is the ffg. But that information will help with my TBS boar knife. Thank you.:)
