How to get the G10 color to pop?

I just got a Hinderer and ordered a new scale. It's blue but it looks dry, kinda whitish. What can I use to bring the color out? I tried some stuff similar to armour all (not slippery) and it brings out the color but I'm curious to see what others use. I also noticed the same thing with a camo scale. Wet it looks great but dry is crappy.
I did a search but didn't really find a solution. Someone mentioned oil but didn't specify what type. Obviously you don't want is slippery.

Is it smooth, peel-ply or otherwise textured? Flitz polish and a buffing wheel. White compound would work too but could potentially do damage if you held it one spot to long, flitz wold be more safe.

Oil may bring it out. What you probably have is some residual grind dust embedded in the scale. It will come out much easier and much faster with a little oil applied.

oil works, do not buff it! especially with rough g10! the rouge will get impregnated in the g10 and you wont be able to get it out without sanding.... trust me :)

I recommend using oils that don't get gummy after being introduced to air. Ive also used olive oil with success.

for reference the g10 on this was sanded to about 120 grit and then rubbed with oil. It was a dull grey bluish black before the oil was applied.

Thanks for the quick replies. Forgot I had read about Flitz once before, but never had a need for it till now. Thanks for the reminder. Just ordered it from my favorite retailer.
