Anyone know how to identify the CPM154 blade steel version from the 154CM version of the CQD Mark 1 knife? I know the CPM154 version was manufactured under the later Blackhawk/MOD brand, but many selling these on the used market no longer have the original boxes. Are all the CQD Mark 1 knives with the more simplified CQD Mark 1 MOD logo, with just USA on the blade, the newer "improved" CPM154 versions?
An old 2009 Blackhawk catalog mentions the improved CPM154 blade steel as well as other "improvements" made over the original MOD version. Although not a very clear image, the catalog shows an image of the knife with the more simplified CQD Mark 1 MOD logo. When I had owned 2 of these in the past, it was before 2009 and I wasn't aware that BlackHawk/MOD had switched to CPM154 and "supposedly improved" other aspects of the design later.
So I'm now curious as to how to accurately identify these. The 2009 catalog also mentions DLC coated Torx screws being utilized for the clip, but after searching many images of the CQD Mark 1 knifes, all I've seen is the standard hex screws for the clips on any of the images of them I've seen.
