How to increase detent on watch bracelets?

So I have an SKX with a miltec jubilee bracelet and the one half of the clasp pops up if I raise my palm like how a mime would check glass during his act (sorry no other way to explain it). I'm afraid if I just squeeze the sides then it would deform the whole side of the clasp so nothing will work at all.

Anyone have any luck increasing the detent on watch bracelets? He's a pic of what I'm talking about.

Plan A) get a jeweler/watchmaker to tweak it.
Plan B) go at it with some needle nose pliers and bend it inward.

Plan B is pretty much exactly what a jeweler will do too.

Rather than pinch both at the same time when I was working as a jeweler i'd do one side at a time and very slightly it doesn't take much.
