This is interesting.
Prior to the new rollout of the site, I could leave feedback as a buyer without posting inside the original thread...that is, I could contact the seller via PM and indicate my willingness to buy the item, we conduct the payment and shipping of the item, and I could leave feedback for the seller by indicating the initial thread URL on the feedback form.
I just purchased another knife and attempted to leave feedback for the seller and was given an error message which stated the following: "Invalid thread specified. You can leave feedback only for the starter of the thread or if you have started the thread."
I had entered the original thread and all the specifics were indeed correct. I tried it three times and was given this message continually. To work around it I thought I would enter a message into the thread even though the contact and sale had been negotiated successfully through PM. I entered the comment onto the thread and then attempted to leave feedback and it worked.
It seems now that both parties must comment on the thread in order for feedback to work. Is that true or have I done something incorrectly? Has anyone else had this happen? Did you find a different workaround? Or must both the buyer and seller have direct contact via the thread prior to feedback process being validated?
