How to Lube a Folder?

For many years I have never lubed my folders. I've always just kept them clean, especially after exposure to salt water or sandy/dirty conditions. However, I've noticed that practically everyone here lubes their folders. How do you lube your folders? I'm especially interested in how to lube the pivot without disassembling the knife. Thanks in advance for any replies.

Just add a drop of the lubricant of your choice to the pivot area, and work the blade back and forth a bit. The lubricant will work its way into the pivot area over time. You might want to try Militec-1 if you can find it. Tri-Flow also seems to work well. Don't overdo it with the lube--usually 1 drop is enough; too much lubricant just attracts dirt and lint.

If you are using Militec-1 you are supposed to heat up the metal before you apply it. This will improve the bonding action, or something technical like that. :)
