How to make canvas micarta more grippy.

I've heard you can blast micarta to make it somewhat course hence giving it a more secure feel in hand.
Anyone know what the process is and what media to use?

Sand blast it. If that doesn't work, try hitting it with a wrench.

Get a Dremel tool and cut a lot of lines in it.

Something like the Umnumzaan.

You can use 80 or 120 grit sandpaper too.

Just sand it with a low grit sandpaper. Ther lower the grit, the grippier. It will change the appearance of the micarta though.

this does work very well especially in wet conditions. and it will fade the color of the micarta a bit but nothing too ugly.
