How to make japanese cordwraps????

I have for some time had in my possession a blade that now I have decided to finish. I have decided on trying to make a japanese style handle and I was thinking about making it with the traditional cordwrap over rayskin. Does any of you makers know where to find information on how to do this??
Preferable the whole process, including how to make the basic handle underneath the cordwrap?
Any information would be greatly appreciated.

I asked a similar question awhile back... here are the responses:

I've had varying success with it. Practice with shoelace and a broomstick. I found it to be pretty tough on my hands, all the little muscles started to cramp after awhile

Thank you all for your replies.
Phillip, that would be an awesome contribution to the forums.
I look forward to seeing it when it's done.
When I get this done, I will be sure to post my tales of misery
