I am looking at modifying a kit that comes with regular bolster, but I found a pic of pinched bolsters, and I really like the look. How can I do this to regular bolsters? Thanks,Joe

What do you mean by "pinched" bolsters? Are you talking about the angle that they meet the handle scales? Or a curve in the bolster? Any angle you want for dovetailed bolster can be put in with a belt grinder, mill, disk grinder, or even with a file if your patient. Not sure on a curved bolster, it would probably be easyist with a mill.

Pinched bolsters is a term used with old pocket knives, where the ends of the bolsters dip down to the liners, as if you pinched each end of the knife with your fingers and left indentions. The best why to do this would be with a 1/4'' or so round file and just make a nice radius across the end of each bolster, clean up by wrapping sand paper around a file. Hope this helps.
