How to make slidelock

Hey huys im kydexing my knives now and would like to learn how to make a slidelock like the deep woods explorer sheath by lt wright.
Also where do u recommend buying ceramic rods and is there a certain method to cutting this probably sounds stupid

The only part I can answer is the last. You can score it heavily with a razor knife and snap it off.
