I recently acquired a Shiro NeON which has quickly become my favorite knife to carry. I upgraded to ceramic, gave the edge a slight touch up, and it's running great. The one problem is that the damn lock keeps sticking. Depending on where my finger is resting when it opens, it's a pretty noticeable thing. I get it, new knives take some time to break in, but I've been flipping it constantly in my downtime, for the past couple weeks. Isn't the steel lockbar insert supposed to minimize stick, along with prolong the life of the lock? Anyway, if you have any advice, let me know, even if it's to just be patient. Thank you

Welcome to the forums and congratulations for the score!

A common way of treating lock stick is to apply Sharpie or pencil to the blade tang. I normally use Sharpie (or something similar). My understanding is that particles in it work as lubricant and abrasive, which would slowly smooth out tiny bumps on the blade tang and lock surface. You get immediate relief from lock stick once you apply Sharpie. As it fades away, the stickiness will come back. You need to apply Sharpie repetitively until you feel that you no longer need to apply it. This worked on all of my liner/frame lock knives with lock stick.

have you contacted the maker? most makers are really good about helping. although if i remember correctly this knife is from russia so it might be more difficult compared to a domestic knife.

Where did you get the upgraded ceramic bearings?

Puzzled that theres a lock-bar insert and your experienceing lock stick. First try cleaning the lock face surfaces with alcohol or a cleaner just to make sure there’s nothing on them. Sharpy marker or graphite from a pencil should temporarily eliminate the problem.
