Could you paint a blade by yourself?
Without it being damaged after some use.

Painting would be easy. But getting it to stay is another story.

I'd think you'd have to bake on some layers of special paint?

Probably best to just pay for one already painted or pay someone to do it professionally.

Duracoat works well. It will eventually wear but is much more durable than off the shelf paints. You can find kits in various colors that come complete with a disposable spray unit and full instructions. You may want to line up a few items, even the smallest kit will do much more than a single knife.

Nutnfancy did it, and was able to ask like 4 times what the knives were worth! Go for it, I say! Make some money!

(runs and hides LOL)

If you're a knife guy like most of us here , you probably use , look at or just handle your knives quite often . So why not buy a Tuf Cloth and give them a rub with it that once in a while ? That's what I do

HOLD MY BEER AND WATCH THIS ! :emot-yarr:

Any coating is going to wear off if you use the knife, some might take a while longer than others. DuraCoat is hard to come by down here as well, so a mate of mine took some of his knives to be powder coated at a place that does custom motorcycle and car jobs. They turned out nice. I wouldn't try it on a folder, unless you're sure that a bit of extra thickness in the parts you want coated won't affect the way they fit together.

What is the temperature of the powder coating process? Sure don't want any conflict with heat treat.
