How to PM on mobile?

So I've been lurking in the trade threads and many people want you to send a pm if you're interested. But I've yet to figure out how to do that on my iPhone. I don't have a desktop computer to use this site on and I try getting the "classic" version but it doesn't seem to exist.

My question is if it's possible to pm people on mobile.

So you can only privately message someone with a paid account? I used to have a desktop back when I was living with my parents in highschool, and was able to pm then

Both parties have to have at least a basic membership to have private messaging capabilities, although non-paid memberships have access to profile posts that can be used the same just aren’t private. Mobile/desktop sites are the same, there is nothing you can do on one that your can’t do on the other.

*Privately* message people, you can message in public all you want for free.

There are perks to supporting the site, and $0.88/month is a paltry sum for most of the useful perks that you get.

Private Messages have been a perk of a paid membership since I've been here. In the vbulletin days, anyone could email another member through the forums as long as they had their settings set to receive them. If you've never had a paid membership, then perhaps that is what you are remembering.

That was one feature I do miss.

Only if you were paid. Been that way for a LOT longer than you've been here. Maybe your parents paid for you?

Lol my parents don't pay for anything for me. I live on my own and pay my own bills.

And you don't have to pay to use google do you? It's like having to pay to sell on eBay. You don't have to pay there. But they take a percentage of a sale you make. I think it's a poor plan. And having to pay for something as simple as messaging is just ridiculous. But if you want to do that congrats

I don't think any of us chose to pay simply for the benefit of private messaging...that is just one of the perks of paid membership. If you don't want to become a paid member - newsflash - nobody cares.
I, too, have participated on forums which allowed private messaging for all registered members...it was a nice feature; but one that is not offered here. Not worth making a fuss about.
