I love my Meaner Street. I bought a kydex sheath from the Rat Store. I think Progunner made it. It is a nice sheath, but I don't like carrying it on my belt. So, I tried somthing different tonight around the house. Took the belt clip off and made it into a keychain. It is pretty comfy. Sits in my right front jeans pocket and comes up about as high as my BM AFCK does. Overall thickness is nice with the Kydex sheath. Length is not too long with it diagonally in my pocket. I can sit, squat down and move without problem. How do other people carry their Busse in a pocket??

Buy Brown makes an inside the front pocket sheath that clips to the inside of the pocket like a folder does.

Putting a Busse (other than the yet to be seen folder) would mean that it was concealed. If caught I would lose my Busse and get in return a felony charge for carring a conceal weapon.

In other words... I carry all and any Busse on my belt with my shirt tucked in and in plain sight. One of the many laws in California that SUCK! :thumbdn:

Yup, that sheath looks familiar.

LFH,
as a matter of fact that was the main reason I put it on the keychain!! It would be handy while seated in the car.

Solstice,
yeah I did think of that. Same here in PA. My carry permit is for handgun only, not knives. So this is more of an academic question.

After packing that knife last night I had rubbed a spot on my leg with the flared out portion of the knife. Maybe this is not the best idea. Anybody else have any ideas to pocket carry a Busse??

FYI, Brown makes a wrap-a-round style kydex sheath that is considerably smaller. Actually, it's as small as possible while still sheathing the blade. I carry an AD in my front pocket in one.

I’ve never found a comfortable way to pocket carry a fixed blade. High ride, and very tight to my side, seems to be the best alternative for me.

Boy! That does suck! So does those other states that allow a handgun but regulate knives. What were they thinking? A concealed 1911 is ok, but a FB is a no no?

I would lose my Busse if it WASN'T concealed. Then it would be open display and a no no. It's ok to pack, just don't scare the sheeple. I can live with that. Pretty much a shirt tail is ok because it's casual observation.

Mostly, the no no's are, ballistic blades, full auto and suppressed weapons. I can live with that. That IWB rig for my Mini-Gun wasn't all that comfortable anyway. LOL

Carrying a blade concealed here in Ohio is iffy. If you do have your CCW it's completely forbidden though.
I can carry as many guns as I can fit on my body but if I pack a Steel Heart it better be in plain sight. That goes for most other blades as well. Now open carry is fine. Just don't hide it.
Let me state one caveat. Open carry is legal depending on local laws. Different towns/counties have different regs.
Pain in the rear to be honest.

I had a fairly heavy keychain, but nothing like that. Car service tech guy said they have a lot of ignition switch failures due to excess weight on key chains. fwiw..........

Hey Wet Dog...
If the knife has to be concealed, how do you use it? Can you get it out, cut something and then hide it again?? I have often wondered that. About 90% of the cutting my folder does is cutting food (pizza, hotdogs, burgers) into small bites for small kids to eat. Often in public restaurants. How do you do that and keep it concealed?
