How to post an image in a thread

Hi Folks,
I would like to post the image of my finished charcoal montage "Birth Of a Khukuri", but I cannot seem t find any instructions on the site about how to do so. I see the button titled "Insert an image", but it is asking me for an url???. Normally when I use regular e-mail all I have to do is navigate to my folder where the image resides and choose the image. Can anyone shed light on this please.

I save stuff in photobucket, then I can just copy the image, there's one for EMail, one for something else and the one I use on the bottom.
Then you can just paste it into your post and the picture is there, not a link.
