Sorry if this is the wrong forum, but how do you HONESTLY rate a knife that has been played with a little, carried once, cut a few sheets of paper, looks like new? I am think of selling a knife & want to honestly represent this knife without writing a book.

Thanks in advance.

Say what you just said!

Knowing what you just said, I bet I could form a mental picture of the knife you want to sell that would match the actual knife 95% or more! For knives that aren't NIB, mention what you have done with it as well as scratching/denting that is on the knife. Just don't leave anything out, and you'll be fine. a few scratches on a used knife her and there are to be expected. But make sure you mention big things. Like if the scratching is only at the tip, but there is more than a few, or if the handle is aluminum and there is a small dent or 2 from it being dropped, mention that. But it sounds like you don't have to go into too many extra details.
