how to remove an item for sale

Hi--I'm new here and finding some of the navigation of this site challenging. I have an item for sale that I want to pull off--to do this do I just close the thread? or is there a way to completely eliminate any reference to the item?

You can edit the post, delete the content and close the thread. There is an edit button on the bottom right of the post and you can click "go advanced" after you do that to edit the title.
 
What aspects of navigation are you having trouble with specifically? To withdraw an item from sale, simply "Edit" your post using the control buttons located on that page.
 
Hmm RevDevil--I actually am fairly computer savvy and this is still not a clean way to get rid of a posting as far as I can tell. When I went to edit I deleted all content I had, but then it wouldn't accept it as my posts each had to have at least five characters. And there is no delete thread option. I couldn't get it to simply get rid of my content and close the thread. I sure there's a way though.
 
There isn't a way. Nothing gets permanently deleted here. You can choose to edit your post after it's sold if you want. Just a suggestion though I would not edit out completely until the deal is done and both parties are happy. Also I suggest locking the thread after your through with it.
