So, I want to remove the pocket clip on my BM Vex. But the torx screws is so worn it can´t be unscrewed (Yes, I have had them removed and put it on several times). Any tips on how to remove the screws? I have the BM Blue box but the screws on the knife is to worn out.

You may be able to use a larger size torx bit if it's not stripped too badly. But if it is, and if you're careful, you can use some pliers and unscrew that way. It'll probably completely kill the screw, so don't do it until you have a replacement.

Call Benchmade tomorrow and get some screws heading your way.

Good luck.

Isn't there enough meat on the screw heads to grab them with small vice-grips and just back them out that way?

Dont know if it will work on a knife but with the torx rotor screws on bicycle disc brakes when the are rounded out we just give them a couple of taps with a hammer. it sometimes fold just enough od the metal back that we can get them out. Most rotor bolts are torqued to 60 inch pounds and blue locktited in. could always give it a try. If that doesn't work cut a slot acrossed the screw and try a jewlers screw driver

I had a similar problem today, I took a dremel with the most thin bit I could find on it and cut a groove in the screw, effectively turning it into a flathead screw, just don't use that screw again, get a new one to replace it.

Go up one size in Torx bit.

T6 is most common stripped size. Take a T7, grind the end flat so edges are sharp, tap into T6 socket until tight, then push down hard and loosen screw with a quick jerk.

I've got a few upsized T6's on my knives.
