Long stroy short, I'd like to remove these scales but not damage the solder joint of the bolster to re-use the liner&bolster.
Stabilised walnut glued with quality CA to stainless.
Any ideas ?

Put in the freezer overnight. Take out one at a time and run a razor blade or other thin blade between the liner and scale. It should pop right off.
If the freezer doesn't do it, putting them on a slab of dry ice will really make them come loose.
If all else fails, boil them for an hour.

i just use a wet rag around the bolsters and heat up the liners with a torch...obviously go light on the torch, but i've never had any issues. get the butt end of the knife to loosen up then just run a razor blade under the covers to pop them off

Thnx for all the advice.
I clamped them down on a flat piece of granite and managed to wedge a thin blade between the liner and scales.
The scales came off in pieces but that is OK
