How to remove scratches from leather sheath?

So I made a leather sheath recently and when finished I realized the leather was pretty scratched up. I really should've payed more attention and been more careful during the construction process...but I can't change whats already happened. Is there any way to "fix" or at least make scratches on the sheath less noticeable?

Here's a picture of the sheath:

Thanks

Best way to hide the scratches is to use it hard and get more. :)

Seriously though, it'll get scratched up pretty quickly if you're anything like me. I actually prefer when my sheaths get beat up, but I can understand your position. If you try to re-dye the scratches will darken and become more pronounced. Obviously you cannot deliver a sheath with scratches (if it's for a customer), but if it's for you I wouldn't worry about it.

I'm not aware of a good way to remove, or reduce scratches, but maybe someone else is.

Nothing will fix everything but this stuff does a pretty darn good job of taking out scuff marks and light scratches. Pretty darn good conditioner too. Neat deal here is you can buy an itty bitty little container and try er out to see if ya like it. I use to sell this stuff when we'd have a booth at a show. I think Williams is a little better conditioner but this is a little better at what you're asking. http://www.skidmores.com

Which product would you recommend? The link is just to the home page.

One way to get rid of light scratch marks is to wipe some sweat and oil off of one's face and rub it into the leather and massage it with the grain of the leather. Otherwise scratches and mark add to the character of things like sheaths and belts. The oil of one's skin is similar to those found in leather which is the skin of an animal.

Some people call it by the (very) unappealing term "nose grease". If you search you'll find it mentioned here on BF a few times in various capacities. I use my face mainly to stun the ladies by being a perfect specimen, but I do believe the idea has merit.

Any use of bodily fluids would definitely prevent me from buying (well, anything), but if it's your own stuff, do what works. ;)
