I think Nitrous Stryker is one of the best folders Benchmade ever produced. It´s light, D2-steel, G10 handle and Titanium liners. Great bladeshape (if you got the spear point non serrated), But I don`t really care for the assisted opening so I decided to remove it wich is really easy.
Here´s a step-by-step picture

1. Open the knife and remove the 3 screws. Torx 6 and 10 will work.
2. Remove the scale.
3. Take out the little stud between the torsion bar. Use pliers or just pick it with your fingers,
4. The stud looks like this.
5. Save it if you want to use the AO in the future.
6. Put the screws back together, use Teflon tape on the pivot screw (better than glue IMHO).

That´s it! Now you got an ordinary folder and the blade isn´t loose and it won´t fall out when closed.
WARNING! You will void Benchmades Warranty if you open the knife by yourself.

Excvellent tutorial sir. I will definitely remove the AO attribute of my Stryker. I must ask though, what's the teflon tape for ?

What´s with the Teflon tape? Well... Most Benchmade pivot screws are dipped in some kind of semi weak LochTite glue to prevent to losen up and create bladeplay. But if you glue it, you´ll have to wait 24 H for it to dry up, but with Teflon tape the screw is secured imediatly. No waiting, no mess and no blade play.
You´ll still have to find that sweet spot between easy opening and no bladeplay. Good luck!

Nice work. I always wanted to know how the Nitrous Stryker AO worked.

Yes, it´s a nice knife.... but what is it that rattles when open?????? Both my mini and regular rattles when open. Anyone knows???
