I have a Kershaw Knockout and I got this idea of removing that black anodize to have the nice clean look of aluminum and then polish it off but what's the easiest way to remove it? And will it actually be shiny if I polish it afterwards?

Is oven cleaner a safe way to go about removing the anodizing?

Will using Mothers Mag & Aluminum polish work after removing it?

The easiest way would be to sand it, start at 200 then go up to 300,400,500,600, ect until you get a good polish.

Oven cleaner containing lye will work. Then sand it and polish it.
Without the anodizing, the handle will scratch easily.
