Hi,

I just recently acquired a very nice old Buck 315.
There is a problem with the main blade - it wobbles excessively - maybe 1/4" side to side at the tip.
I think that the pivot pin might be deformed. Is it worth pursuing a remedy?
If so, how would I go about getting it repaired - or maybe even attempting it myself?

Thanks in advance for your advice.

Send it back to Buck. It has a forever warranty. Waiting on one to come back now that had excessive wobble.

Giz,

Think about sending it in to Buck. If you want to, send email to Buck Customer service. Go to their Home Website and you can email or call. It will cost about $6.00 for a postal priority box, the best method, and it is just the right size. Wrap knife so it does not rattle in box and include a statement on what is wrong. Put on statement your address, email and phone number. On address for box don't say Buck Knives, just put B.K I. along with factory address, in capital letters. The Idaho post office knows what that means. Use some extra tape don't totally trust post office glue strip.

You can contact some knife repairmen around or likely watch a U-tube video but your knife will come back from Buck fixed, polished up slick and sharp as a razor.
