This Explorer squire I recently bought has scales that are slightly warped and bent outward. otherwise it is in great shape. How would I be able to get the scales flush again, krazy glue into the crack and clamps? or remove and replace? I have no experience in removing scales from a folder

Those scales are badly made paper Micarta. I would try this:
Blow the area under the scales out with Brake parts cleaner. Wear safety goggles!
Note: this MAY damage the Micarta, but I doubt it.
Clamp the handle flush and heat gently. I use an oil-filled radiator heater for this kind of thing, and let the parts sit for a few days. You could use a light bulb to provide the heat, but be careful, and don't set anything on fire.
After heating, let the knife cool to room temperature before unclamping. IF the handle stays down, you might wick a little super glue under it.
All that said- it probably won't work, but it's worth a try.

You could do that too, it shouldn't be too hard to get the old scales off or at least on the warped side. It all depends on if you like the scales on it now or not.

Yes, if you can find, remove, and replace the flush pins in the bolsters-and re pin the new scales.
Or if you want to do it the wrong way-pry the scales off and glue new ones on.

thanks Bill,,, think that might be way above my pay grade. Yet may have to do some research to find out what al that means. have never done any work on folders except sharpen and clean.
