no way man. the corrosion has fully penetrated the steel (see how it warps to one side.) best you can do is keep it from crumbling to pieces. technicians use an adhesive similar to canada balsam to coat the entire piece and then bake it over low heat. this will prevent crumbling.

I think they are looking for volunteers or hiring someone to do the restoration. Might be a good project and career path for someone skilled in the art.
