I just got my first piece of Infi, a competition grade satin jack :) I'm concerned about the rusting that I have read about the finish. I don't have any good power tools and just a drill and a dremel.

What's a good way to get a nice satin finish if I wanted to do this by hand?

you're in luck with the jacks, no naughty corrugated bevels to make things hard. Just use it, when some rust forms give it a good rub with some 220/400/maroon scotchbrite (whatever is handy basically) and oil it, good to go!. It shouldn't take too long to get past the decarb on those so you shouldn't have to do it more than a couple times before you get to the "stainless" infi underneath.

Use...sand...oil and repeat. Much more fun than what I had planned earlier.

Now to find new ways to abuse... i mean... use my new Busse around the house. The addiction begins!
