How To How to secure a specific build date??

Hey guys,

My lady and I have a baby due in the beginning of march. I'd like to pick up two plain small 31's with my child's birthdate on the card, store one away and carry mine until i give him his. I think it would be a cool "do you know how old this knife is" story when he gets his at whatever age i decide to. My question is, how do I secure a specific date either ahead of time or around the time?
 
Yeah, try calling and telling your story/reason... and if that doesn't work put it out here next March and on FB and you may be surprised the response you get. Some of us are big softies (says the grampa with birthyear Buck 110's for his grandsons).
 
I doubt dealers will know in advance when their orders are going to be filled.
Be sure to ask your wife to have the baby Mon-Thurs :)
After the birth you could contact CRK to see if they completed knives on that date and what dealer they sent them to.
 
And when you get the scales engraved maybe consider having the image of the baby footprint engraved as well... just a thought.
 
Where’s the adventure in hunting for a specific date for a special occasion CRK 🤔 ??
Just hope that the baby doesn’t come on Friday, Saturday or Sunday.
 
I called CRK on my wedding day and they were able to get me set up! I did make sure to get married on a Weekday to make that possible:)
