How to secure fasteners

Sometimes I find an open fastener on my axe or hatchet sheath when carrying it in rucksack. Also fasteners on my knife sheats sometimes open accidentaly. I don't like that – it can be dangerous.
But not any more!
My new axe, hatchet and knife sheats and also leather pouches are now completed with a little pocket which secure the leather end. It works great! How do you close it? First put lather end into the pocket, second, press the fastener. Simple, genial, good :)

How did you get the pocket to mold to the shape of the tab? Did you mold it before you sewed it on?

Wet shaping after sewing. I just put in the pocket a piece of wood and let it dry.

Very cool idea. It actually took me a bit to see what it was that you did. It just looked like it is suppose to be there. Very nice work!
