how to sell knives - here or ebay?

I need to sell some busse knives. Is it easier to sell here or the bay? also can't figure out how to become gold member?
 
Membership has its' benefits as they say. Pay for one then change your settings. Then post your fabulous blades at a good price and watch them get shipped away fast. Screw flea bay.
 
If you want to sell your knives, I mean "everything must go!" sell them, nothing beats eBay. List it without a reserve and it will sell. If you absolutely must get "x dollars" to part with a knife, you are as likely as not to see them sit for quite a while with either a reserve price on eBay, or with a fair to you price here on the forums. If you have a rare or sought-after variant you might get a really good return on eBay. You'll likely see your knife sell quickly here as well- given you are willing to sell at cost or less. Just remember that the for sale forum is not an auction- you must list a price. You are unlikely to see a bidding war, and equally unlikely to get an offer above your asking price. But, you will likely get more low ball offers than "I'll take it!"
 
Get a Gold Membership and sell here. Look to here and the bay for prices if you need to. The bay will take some of that money, as will PayPal- so plan accordingly.
 
Sell here. Folks here are family, and that way you know your blades are going to good homes where they will be loved, appreciated and cherished.

Geez... how much does the bay charge nowadays??? An arm and a leg, or just a leg?

Their fees and commission (plus paypal) sure do take a chunk out of your sale price...

Selling is a pain. Forget about selling.
Just donate everything to me, I'll be happy to email you my address. :thumbup:
 
eBay is like 10% fees not including PayPal. On a 300 dollar blade that's a whole years membership fee for one knife sale. Sell here and you can sell slightly cheaper and keep more money. Win win for buyers and sellers!
 
Not to mention your funds can take weeks to clear on the bay,,, it's instant here
 
here the knives go fast sometimes with in minutes if sold at reasonable prices. E bay people a lot of times will sell at more then a 300 percent mark up. some people are crazy. but also people here post pics of jems from the bay they bought at great prices. so people here look for deals everywhere.
 
You should be good, you just have to change your membership group in your account settings.
 
Go to settings and then on the left side there is a link for posting groups or private groups. Click that and change it to Gold member.
