How to sharpen a convex edge

I made a sharpening video and thought I'd share. The video features some of my custom knives by Jeremy Horton (in the Makers area).

My friend that is call strop and they are right back to razor sharpness ok!
Re+sharpening a convex edge is another story:rolleyes:
Especially when the knife edge is dull:thumbup:
 
I think a convex edge is the easiest to maintain. At the end of the day, after you use your knife, just strop it 10-20 per side and you can have it hair shaving sharp again. You just don't want to let it get too dull or you have to use 400 grit automotive sand paper to get the edge back (black compound on a strop is normally 1800-2000 grit). When in the field, I will sometimes bring a field strop.
