I have searched hits forum without much luck. What is the best method to sharpen a recurve like a Zero Tolerance 0300.

Unless the edge is trashed, gentle slow pressure on your edge pro with higher grits (low grits will tend to chip off of the corners and just scar the blade more than help). Hope that helps, without a round ceramic or diamond crock stick it's a bit hard, you can sharpen the belly on the Duo Sharp.

i use an edge pro but with extra wide diamond hones. the last time i tried to sharpen a recurve though it was a mess as my stone was too wide and was cutting into the curve. a buddy recently asked me to sharpen another one and i had to come up with something else. i have also started doing convex sharpening on a mouse pad and thought id combine the two and it worked well. take a large piece of dowell or small pvc, a section of broom handle or something similar. cut a strip of the mouse pad and wrap it around long ways on the dowell, cover this with the appropriate grit sand paper and drag it spine first away from the edge. i found it to work really well for me and i no longer hate recurve knives quite as much. if you dont like the convex edge just dont use the mouse pad. i just find it a little more forgiving when it comes to holding a consistent angle.

Sharpening by hand, the Spyderco Tri Angle works well.

I sharpen mine on my belt grinder, and it's as easy as any other edge design.
