i got a RMD and a RMDxLE, the RMD xLE is totally convex edge , i dont konw how to sharpen it after it has been used.
what i have are waterstones, and a Edge pro, i don't think edge pro can make a convex edge, so how do you sharpend your ratmandu xLE?

If you don't get it too dull, a simple stropping will suffice. Sr 101 hold's it's edge very well so just keep it maintained and it should stay sharp. I do not have a EP so cannot comment on it.

I know nobody wants to hear it, but I went ahead and sharpened it to a v edge like on all my other knives :)

if you have a belt sander that would be the best way to sharpen your convex edge if it needs a burr worked up. if the edge is slightly dull you can strop it like super x suggested. i would not use the ep or waterstones if you want to maintain a nice convex edge.

you can use a soft pad with some sandpaper on top to sharpen the edge if needed. if you want some help send me an email. rje196021@gmail.com i also sharpen knives if you dont want to do it yourself.

Listen to Richard, gents.

He absolutely knows what he's talking about!

i tried the mouse pad and sandpaper method, it quite good , but what i ve done is not sharp as the factory edge , i think i need more practice.
i 'm very happy that the new RMD LE is coming , it is also thinner than the regular RMD, that's why i prefer the RMd LE, it will be quite easy on chopping and cutting.
