How to shred a set of tires

Ok, I just had 4 guys standing at my desk watching this. When it started, there were none. We got a few tuners in the office that head the audio, and came running.

Best vid in a long time, me thinks I likes it alot.

Teh Interwebz is kewl.

That was great.

That would be SOOOOOOOOO much fun to get to do. We used to play like that in our trucks in big fields after it rained. Good times, good times.

That is some great driving!! I have been lucky enough to see Ken Block at the Oregon Trail Rally the last few years. He really has some tallent, drives that car like he stole it. :D

Wow! Thanks for the link for that! I ended up putting it on my FB page. :) He is certainly an amazing driver. Dang!

Looks like my drive to work !!

oh, yeah, that's classic :)

go on youtube proper and look for the other videos of the various builds.

there's even a forza? clone of this... guy replicates one of the videos via software :)

trivia: while the subbie in the other video in totally rebuilt... many subbies come with paddle shifters these days, standard :)

I sent this to a guy on another forum I know who races cars like that, and this is what he sent me back:

I actually race with Ken. Or I should say used to. He is running solely in the World Rally Championship theis season, though may show up at a random U.S. or Canadian event. His co-driver, Alex Gelsomino is a very good friend of mine.

Ken actually started doing the gymkhana videos on a lark to help promote his racing and his sponsors, including DC Shoes, which was his company until he sold it to Quicksilver (and then signed on to be their marketing guru). The 1st gymkhana video was such a viral hit that they have made a few more now and I know have several new ideas in the works for this year. The Martelli brothers from Mad Media do all the shooting and really do a nice job with the vids.

Here are a few other videos in the series thus far. (There are still other offshoots, but these are the main ones.)

Gymkhana 2: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HQ7R_buZPSo

Oh, and a special featuring Ken vs. one of his athletes, Rob Dyrdek: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qQ48NQjouoE

And finally, Ken's old Trax equipped car (which was recently turned back into a rally car and sold to a fellow competitor who just about destroyed it last weekend in Missouri at the event I was competing in.): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nTDNL...feature=relmfu

Ken Block is an amazing athlete.
I was lucky enough to see him do a demo at VIR a couple years ago.
