Hey guys, I didn't see a thread on this, but feel free to delete this if there is, but I have a question about spotting fake cold steels. How do I do that? I've been desperately wanting a voyager and I've seen some really good deals on eBay but I'm not sure if they're fake or the real deal? Any help would be awesome.

Voyagers aren't being replicated in China, although it appears Spartans are.

Just buy from a good dealer with a large selection of knives.

There are only two ways. ONE- Study the models that you are interested in thoroughly so that
anything unusual would come to your attention. You can even follow up on it on this forum or
even contact CS as I have if you are unsure.Ebay is notorious for fake knives of many brands. Know the CS models as often there are models being sold that don't even exist. There are close copies of existing models with features that do not exist on real models. Just avoid anything being sold from "China" or "Hong Kong". Go to the Cold Steel website and look at heir counterfeit gallery.
TWO- Buy from a respected dealer.

Thanks guys. I think I'll avoid eBay, because the seller I was looking at uses a "stock" photo and $35 for a large voyager seems too good.

Yes, the partially serrated Voyagers are very cheap at the moment. I think they're being discontinued. The seller you're referring to is Eric from RnkCity Outdoors. I've bought from him multiple times and obviously a lot of people do because he has about 70,000 sales. As I said, the Voyagers are not being duplicated, and even if they were Eric wouldn't stock them.
