How to stop leather sheath from unsnapping?

Recently picked up a Mk VI used, and the leather sheath has a quick-release snap to facilitate removing the knife from the belt. I find that when I draw the knife, the snap comes loose, and the entire sheath accompanies the knife on the draw. Besides tying down or sewing the loop, are there any known easy fixes?

It's a great knife BTW. My first one-piece CRK.

Slide a ranger band or a small piece of a bike tire inner tube over the snap.

Thanks Anok. Didn't think about bike tubing. Thought about using JB weld to keep the snap shut permanently.

What's a ranger band?

Pretty much someone cut up some bike tubes and sells them as ranger bands

I have had this problem but it usually stops after the leather has loosened up a bit. The more you use it the more it should loosen.

Don't be like MelancholyMutt and drop the entire thing into a river. You could also JB weld the snaps, but that's permanant
