I just wanted to share my knife storage techniques. I have found them to be very effective in taking care of my blades. I will demonstrate with step by step photos.. First off you need a knife.

we will use the RC 3 to begin with

next you need an adequate storage case or chest. I prefer cedar with a felt lining, but that is a personal preference.

Additional steps you could take to prevent oxidation is to wipe the blade down with an oiled gun cloth or put a few desicant packs inside the case. I haven't found that necessary.. You could also wrap the knife in felt.
I simply lay it in and

Wala !! close it up and you are done :):)

Now we will move on to the older model Ontario rats. For this demonstration I will be using the Rat 3, 5, and 7.

Steps are basically the same but I use a different container. The one pictured I find is more than adequate.

The last step and you are done!!

I hope you find this info beneficial. thanks !

Tell me you didn't seriously throw those away! If you don't want them, give 'em to somebody else. Just because they were pushed by buttholes doesn't mean the knives have to suffer. Are you going to throw a child away just because his parents were nazis? No! You raise that child right, with a proper education of tolerance and love for cutting everybody and everything the same! Don't blame them. I'd be happy to adopt them if you can't bare the sight of them any longer.

Edit: If you are just making a visual statement and are then going to take them back out of the trash and use them...cool. If not, really, send them to me. I have a few friends that can't afford them, and I can't afford to buy them one that are defending our country from home and abroad.

It is just a joke, My warped sense of humor and all. Think of it as an analogy.:D:D:D

Damn bro. You scared me. I was thinking, "Surely someone is not going to actually throw those away. It just can't happen. It just can't." lol

I think you'd have had a lot of knife nuts poking around your trash tonight :)

While I have to say that I dont think they should be thrown away. I would be lying if I said that I did not get a nice laugh while reading that post.
