I just wanted to share my knife storage techniques. I have found them to be very effective in taking care of my blades. I will demonstrate with step by step photos.. First off you need a knife.
we will use the RC 3 to begin with
next you need an adequate storage case or chest. I prefer cedar with a felt lining, but that is a personal preference.
Additional steps you could take to prevent oxidation is to wipe the blade down with an oiled gun cloth or put a few desicant packs inside the case. I haven't found that necessary.. You could also wrap the knife in felt.
I simply lay it in and
Wala !! close it up and you are done
Now we will move on to the older model Ontario rats. For this demonstration I will be using the Rat 3, 5, and 7.
Steps are basically the same but I use a different container. The one pictured I find is more than adequate.
The last step and you are done!!
I hope you find this info beneficial. thanks !
