Here's a video about how I strop a knife to split a hair.

I'm using the same Spyderco Tenacious in 8cr13mov from the work sharp video, yet I refine it more with Bark River White compound and the good old fashion "palm" strop.

I also cover cleaning and loading a strop with wax based compound
