Hello everyone,

So recently I bought a Gerber Bear Grylls Parang, for a few bucks in completely rough shape , major rust and everything. So I've decided to modify it for my needs.I ran into a problem , on the handle there are Torx double screws, The screws are doubled so if you twist on one side the other side spins

This is what it looks like same on the other side.

Ive tried holding down one side and turning the other but nothing happens.

So anyone have any tips how to get the Torx screws off or maybe there is an alternative way to take off the handle?

Thanks a bunch and have a great night everyone!

Respectfully,

You'll need two torx bits, one on each side. Just something to keep in mind, but there was a recall on the parang, I would make sure you don't have a defective one...they had a nasty habit of snapping off at the tang if I remember correctly. Welcome to the forums by the way! ~Kirby :)
