How to tame the Blurs grip inserts?

Short of removing them, is there any way to tame down the grippy rubber inserts under the pocket clip? It makes it a hassle pulling it out of my pocket as well as putting it back in.

The area under the pocket clip is Aluminum though (when carried as issued from the factory that is). Adjusting the clip might help.

I know this, but looking at the knife from the side the rubber inserts are raised above the level of the aluminum on either side. The clip tension isn't super tight either. I wear blue jeans and it grips the material quite a bit versus even my g10 knives.

Well I did it, it looks alright, and is easier in and out of the pocket, but I may just take out the inserts all together and put in some skate tape or something.

Had skate tape in my second (and last) blur, it's no better than the "track-tek" (factory stuff). It may stick up less but it's even harder on your pants and is just as grippy. My suggestion would be to either sand yours smooth now that you've shortened them with the razor or to use a different material all together, a piece of peel-ply G10 big enough to make both pieces would cost you ~$5 and be a lot less grippy while not being all the way smooth or making it hard to hang on to.

hmmm weird, never had a problem and i've had a blur for prob 4 years or so. My clip is is belt out a hair so it doesn't actually touch the handles though.
