I have an old Buck 110 from the 60's if I recall, but cant really remember exactly when I bought it while in the Navy. I looked at the sticky page from other posts and couldn't really figure it out. The knife says BUCK u.s.a. inverted on the blade. The toggle pin is brassAny help would ne much appreciated.

Thanks, Mike

Hi Mike,

It will be impossible to tell which version & variation your 110 is without a lot more information. Photo's of your knife are the best and we will need to see both sides, and a good photo of the butt end of the knife also.

It is safe to say that your knife was made some time between 1967 and 1972. 1967 was the first time the inverted (read tip down) BUCK, U.S.A. was used and changed to BUCK, 110, U.S.A. (read tip up) in 1972. The versions changed from 3 to 5 in this time frame and each version had multiple variations. That is why we would need to see photo's to nail down the exact version & variation of your knife so we could identifiy an approximate year for your knife.

"Disclaimer"
There are many books and data sheets that give info on these changes and that is where I got my info. Note your mileage may vary and data is subject to change with out prior notification.

Here is a photo of a few of my older 110's
