I did a precursory search for pictures or a thread of this question and came up empty handed. I am new to Ti-locks, but already love how securely my ZT lockup is and how easy it is to disengage on day 1. How do you tell if the lockup is early or late? Is it based on how much of the lock face is not yet in contact with the blade tang? A comparison picture of early vs late would be greatly appreciated. I love the knowledge base of these forums and I am confident I will have many comprehensive replies, so thank you everyone in advance.

Here is a photo of my ZT's lockup. Roughly what % is this?

The farther the lock bar is towards the opposite scale the "later" the lockup. I'd say yours is about 35-40% (50% obviously being dead center on the blade) which looks right on to me.

You can think of the inner side of the lock bar as an arrow pointing to the tang. All the way to the outside of the lock face would be 0%, and all the way to the right would be 100%

red line marks 0%, green marks 100%

Yours looks around 50% to me, normal.
