How to tie a lanyard?

Does anyone know were I could learn to make a lanyard out of 550 cord on a knife or pistol. It almost looks like a braid of some kind. Id be greatful for any help.

There are some very nice braid designs out there, but I'm too simple to try them. I use a standard hangman's noose. Some call it the Chris Reeve or "Reeve Coil Knot"...

I learned a couple sinnetts a while back. I can't remember where I found these pictures, but they also look pretty good with paracord.

Here are a couple tutorials. He uses vinyl cord but the same effect could be acheived with two different colors of 550 cord.
