I have recently seen some of the members conduct reviews on a couple of bushcraft knives, and noticed that they were using some rather uncontrolled, unsafe knife techniques. I didn't want to single them out, as I felt this would be unkind, and unhelpful. You know how it is, you show someone they are using a tool incorrectly and they get all defensive about it. To avoid finger pointing and other unpleasantness...I started my own thread :)

Remember, a small injury/cut in the bush could lead to a bad infection, or death (if a major artery or vein was cut)!

If you see other bushcraft knife technique videos that are well done, please do not hesitate to post them!

Edit:
I get the impression that people think the dude above is me! It's not me, its a video I found. Sorry for any confusion.

It's a good video, thanks for posting. I'm looking forward to seeing more on this thread.

Nice video, thanks a lot. And you're right about people getting defensive, I've seen girls in the kitchen use some really scary/improper knife holding/cutting techniques and when I correct them they get all butt-hurt.

Hey, where was the batonning with a rock? :D

Agreed... This video is incomplete in it's current iteration... If you need somebody to lend you some hammers, 2x4s, and masonry blocks, please don't hesitate to get a hold of me, let's get this done right ;)

All kidding aside  good video :)
