How well do you like your BM Griptilians

I am thinking about purchasing one of these and I was wondering what all of you think of it? I have no special purpose for the knife, just another one to work into the edc rotation.

I like mine fairly well. Pretty comfortable handle, serviceable steel, and the axis lock. I think the Griptilian represents a lot of value. My only beef is that I wish the knife had a little more of a point. As is it is a little difficult to do fine work with. I believe this was mentioned by someone else in a review on the forums. For the money it is worth getting.

The first one I got was in a trade. I liked it so much, I went out and bought another. Great knife and very comfortable to hold. Also, the oval hole in the blade works very well. The Axis lock works smoothly and the lockup is solid. Very cool knife indeed. :D

I agree and use mine at work. the handles provide a good grip& fits my hand well plus the axis lock.Good value

I've had mine for awhile now, and I like it very much. I even like the tip because it is stout enough to do some prying if needed, which I would not do with my BM-710 or Sebenza. They make great gifts for non knife knuts who take one look at the blade and think, "Oh, this is a utility knife, not a fighting knife." I gave one to a friend and he even uses it to shuck oysters. Now that takes balls with a razor sharp knife. :)

It represents excellent value. Good blade shape for utility purposes and a comfortable grip. The Axis lock is extremely smooth. BM seems to be tweaking the Axis lock with each new model they come out with.

This is all good to hear. I have two on order (should be here tomorrow) from Bayou Lafourche. I ordered one part-serrated (left pocket) and one plain (right pocket). $57.99, how can you go wrong?

The 550s was my first Axis Lock purchase and I have been hooked ever since. When I bought it I was thinking it would be a good EDC/camping knife. But the handle was a little to wide for an all the time EDC.

So I got a 705SBT for my EDC and use the 550s for camping/backpacking. So far it has been great. Tough handle and blade. The shape is very gripable and easy to hold. The action on the Axis Lock is perfect. Very easy to wrist flick for fact opens.

Enjoy yours...I have really enjoyed mine.
