How well does 410 or 416 forge weld to itself?

Hello, I’m thinking about trying a project that I would want to try forge welding either 410 or 416 stainless to itself.
Has anyone had experience doing this? Is it gonna be really hard to do, or relatively easy?
I guess if I need to, I think I could put a thin layer of 15n20 in between the stainless.

Any recommendations or advice is greatly appreciated!
